Salisbury firefighters come to the aid of a horse

A 28 year old horse suffering from a disease affecting the nervous system needed help getting up.

Firefighters attended a farm in Lower Woodford to assist Gypsy, a 16 hand high horse suffering from sycamore disease.

Specialist equipment and techniques were used by the crews to get her back on her feet.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service say Gypsy is expected to make a full recovery.
