The City Council's chosen the upgraded equipment that they're putting in at the park off Castle Road.

The new 'Junior Multiplay Unit' is set to be installed from the last week of November.

It's aimed at 'older children', replacing the wooden unit that's there at the moment.

A climbing wall, hoop bridge, rope climb and drag ramp is included in the new structure.

The new play equipment has also been designed to make it easier for children with mobility issues to use.

The set-up's been chosen by local people through votes to the City Council and Friends of Victoria Park Facebook pages.

OTHER SALISBURY PLAY PARKS TO GET UPGRADES:

Two other play areas, managed by Salisbury City Council, are due to have work in the coming weeks too.

The roundabout at Montgomery Gardens is being replaced, while toddler equipment is also being added.

The springer and toddler play parks are set for upgrades at Blackfriars in The Friary as well.
