Hannah and Jamie Bundy have been sharing their experiences on World Prematurity Day.

The couple's little boy George was born in May 2017 - but Hannah was only 26 weeks pregnant.

He arrived at Salisbury District Hospital but had to be transferred to Southampton for expert medical care.

Hannah and Jamie have been talking about their experiences:

The family say they wanted to speak out to help raise awareness of World Prematurity Day (Saturday November 17th).

George is now a healthy little 14 month old, so Hannah says they're keen to show other families that there is hope when babies arrive too soon:

"I knew about premature births, but you never expect it to happen to you. There's just not enough awareness of it. Premature I thought was about 2 weeks or 4 weeks, I didn't think they'd survive that early to be honest. There's just not enough information."

World Prematurity Day is a global initiative to start conversations on premature birth, as 15 million babies are born early every year worldwide.

In the UK, the charity Bliss leads the way in supporting the day - there's more on their website.
