Joe Landon was knocked off his bike by a car in 2013, when he was 17 years old, leaving him with brain damage.

The incident on Ashley Road was life changing for Joe.

Just 17 at the time, he was a keen sportsman - taking on cycling, rugby, hockey and skiing with dreams of joining the army when he left sixth form.

The accident left him wheelchair bound, unable to talk and needing 24/7 care.

Over the past four and half years, Joe has spent everyday in a hospital or institution receiving round the clock care.

Joe, now 22 years old, has been improving thanks to physiotherapy.

On Saturday (17th November) Joe completed a sponsored 'walk'' around Wyvern Sports Hall with the help of a special piece of kit - an exoskeleton.

What is an exoskeleton?

It's a robotic suit that supports a person's weight and helps their limbs to move.
