A man's been charged with arson after a marked car and a van were damaged by fire over the weekend.

The vehicles were parked in the Bourne Hill hub car park when this happened.

Fire crews were called out at 12.40am on the morning of Saturday November 17th, but police had already put the fires out before the engine arrived.

Both cars were damaged and have been taken out of service as a result.

Nicholas Lowe, who's 55 and from Salisbury, has been charged with two counts of arson and criminal damage.

He's due to appear before Swindon Magistrates Court today (Monday November 19th).
