The death is being treated as 'unexplained' at this stage.

Wiltshire Police got a 'concern for welfare' call on Friday afternoon (November 30th) and went to an address in Bence Court in Amesbury.

The body of a woman in her 30s was found there.

Officers say they're treating the death as 'unexplained' at this stage and they've launched an investigation.

We are, however. being reassured that there's no suggestion that this is in any way related to the nerve agent incidents from earlier this year.

MAN RELEASED FROM CUSTODY:

A 51 year old man from Salisbury was arrested as part of the enquiries.

He's now been released with no further action and is being treated as a witness.

We're also warned that there will be an increased police presence in the area while investigations are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Gemma Davies, from the Brunel Major Crime Investigation Team, said:

“Firstly, I would like to express my condolences to the family of the woman who died. They are being supported by specialist officers and are being kept updated on our investigation.

“Although we do not yet know how she died, we are keeping an open mind about whether or not there were any suspicious circumstances.

“I would urge anyone who thinks they may have information which could assist with our investigation to please contact police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting Operation Majesty.
