Police are now cracking down on anti-social behaviour after the incident on Saturday evening (1st December).

Two teenagers were ordered to leave the Ice Rink outside the Guildhall, after being issued with Section 35 dispersal orders.

Eyewitnesses have told Spire FM that a fight broke out on the rink, leading to security getting involved.

Police were also called to deal with the incident.

Nobody was arrested.

Community Co-ordinator A/Sgt Alan Cromwell, from Wiltshire South Community Policing Team, said:

"We are investigating an incident of disorder at the ice rink outside the Guildhall in Salisbury, which happened at around 6pm on Saturday (1 December 2018).

"We want to reassure the public that we will be carrying out extra patrols around that part of the city to crackdown on anti-social behaviour.

"The ice rink is a community facility for families to enjoy in the build up to Christmas, and we will not tolerate anyone who tries to spoil that fun.

"We would urge anyone who has information about what happened to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference 54180114005."

A Wiltshire Council spokesperson said:

“This was an isolated incident and is subject to an ongoing police investigation. The ice rink has been open for four days and is extremely popular. We hope everyone visiting will enjoy the market and ice rink and everything that’s on offer.”
