Camilla is a patron of a charity in our county and is coming on Friday (14th December) to visit a new build.

Wiltshire has a royal visitor this week, HRH Prince Charles' wife the Duchess of Cornwall.

Camilla will be here on Friday, starting off her visit to the new Wiltshire Air Ambulance base in Semington - a charity she's a patron of.

The Duchess has been involved with the charity for over ten years, visiting their old base in Devizes in 2008 and then transferring her patronage to the Wiltshire Air Ambulance charity in 2012.

In May this year, a new purpose-built airbase was built for WAA in Semington.

The new build combines the operation teams as well as the charity team.

On Friday, Camilla will visit to offically open the base and meet staff, emergency crew and see the Immersive Simulation Suite that they fundraised for.

This will be the second time this year the Duchess of Cornwall has made an official royal visit to our county, previously coming to Salisbury on June 22nd following the nerve agent incidents.

After visiting the airbase, the Duchess of Cornwall will visit the Lackham Campus of Wiltshire College and University Centre to launch the new £9million development agri-tech developments there.

Her Royal Highness will mark the start of the project by visiting the campus to view the plans and to meet students who will demonstrate the latest technological developments in agricultural engineering.
