REVEALED: How many passengers use Salisbury Railway Station?

Our local station is in the top 12% of the country for the amount of people who pass through it every year.

In 2017, 2,271,050 passengers either entered, exited or changed trains in Salisbury.

Out of 2,563 stations in the UK, we've come 289th for the most amount of people travelling through.

HOW OTHER LOCAL STATIONS FARED:

Dean is one of the smallest stations in the whole of the UK.

Only 28,664 travelled through it, only 423 other places had less than them.

Here's the rundown of our other destinations:

  • Grateley - 275,178 passengers (1,233rd in the country)
  • Tisbury - 230,774 people (1,322nd)
  • Pewsey - 258,516 passengers (1,263rd)
  • Warminster - 384,585 people (1,056th)
  • Andover - 1,202,206 passengers ranking 477th

British Steel Redcar in North Yorkshire, came last and only had 40 passengers in the whole year!

London Waterloo is the busiest station in the whole country with a massive 96,116,614 people going through there last year.
