Local MPs come out in support of Theresa May

A number of our Members of Parliament have posted on social media in the wake of a 'vote of no confidence' in the Prime Minister.

Theresa May has already stated this morning (Wednesday December 12th) that she intends to contest the confidence vote for the leadership of the Conservative party.

Later on, the party's MPs will all get their say on whether she should remain at the top in a secret ballot.

Mrs May needs to gather the support of half of them to stay as leader.
