The British military and NATO have been testing new robotic technologies as part of a ground breaking exercise.

During 'Exercise Autonomous Warrior 18' on Salisbury Plain service personnel got to try out a range of driverless vehicles, like trucks, tanks and diggers, to see how effective they'd be on the battlefield.

All the products on show were developed by companies who had to go through a 'Dragon's Den' style panel before getting them included in the exercise.

200 cross-service personnel were then allowed to experiment with and test out the technology and equipment offered by the companies who were selected.

Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson has described it as the biggest military robot exercise in British history.
