Rain and 50mph winds to batter Wiltshire tomorrow

A yellow weather warning is in place for heavy showers and strong winds.

The Met Office say flooding is likely due to heavy rain already saturating the ground over the weekend.

It's expected to start raining at 5am until around 9pm on Tuesday (18th December).

The Met Office say to expect;

  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.

It will be windy, especially in coastal areas where gusts will reach around 50-65mph while inland winds will be about 40-50mph.
