A360: Man arrested following crash

A man in his 40s was airlifted to hospital this morning with serious injuries.

Just after 10.15am today (December 20th), a silver Honda car and a cement mixer lorry collider near the Stoford and Woodfords turning on the A360.

The man driving the Honda had to be cut free from his vehicle by Fire and Rescue and was then taken to Southampton General Hospital by Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

He suffered a head injury which is serious.

A 21-year-old man from Salisbury has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving and is currently in custody at Melksham Police Station.

WITNESS APPEAL

PC Jay Clifton, from the Tri-Force Roads Policing Unit, said:

"We want to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw either vehicles beforehand.

"We're particularly interested in any dash-cam footage which could assist with our enquiries."
