The director of James Bond films Skyfall and Spectre is calling on men in the south of the county to star in his new film.

Are you a 16-35 year old male living locally and fancy a shot at the big screen?

Sam Mendes, acclaimed director of American Beauty and Caberet, is set to film in Tilshead in 2019.

He's directing and producing a World War One movie called 1917 and needs male extras.

The casting call is for any male between sixteen and thirty five who can go to filming just outside Salisbury.

Fancy giving the casting a go?

The plan is to prep for the movie between the 4th February and 28th April with filming taking place between 29th April and the 2nd June.

The agency Two10 Casting, which is behind the call, says on their website:

"Filming hours are often long so whilst experience is not essential, a positive 'can do’ attitude is a must."

They've also said that food and costumes will be provided for those taking part.

SUBJECT TO PERMISSION

You can apply anytime from now but the film is still subject to planning permission.

The film makers have put in for temporary planning on Salisbury Plain, just off Chitterne Road in Tidworth.

They want to create a French Farmhouse set to film in.
