Tractor fire in Redlynch

The vehicle has been 'well alight' with Fire and Rescue in attendance.

Crews from Salisbury and Fordingbirdge have been tackling the blaze on Bowers Hill.

They were called at 2.44pm this afternoon (Thursday January 10th).

Staff from the takeaways opposite the scene initially helped to tackle the blaze with fire extinguishers.

The fire has now been put out, but the road remains closed for the time being.

The tractor has been loaded onto a lorry for recovery, with police on the scene.

The road should re-open once that work has been completed.
