For many recipients, the Spire FM Local Hero Awards is the first time their amazing actions are recognised publicly.

It gives us, as a community, the chance to show our appreciation for those local people.

Nominations pour in from Spire FM listeners and Salisbury Life readers throughout the year, each story leaving judges in awe.

The judges faced a tough challenge of sifting through the nominations to pick the 11 worthy winners out of hundreds of entries.

All the winners of the Spire FM Local Hero Awards share a spirit that embodies all that is great about Salisbury.
