LOCAL HERO AWARDS: Salisbury CCTV manager given Lifetime Achievement Award

Richard Goodman dedicated almost 30 years to Wiltshire Police before manning the CCTV manager post in Salisbury.

Richard has been recognised for all the hard work, time and effort he's put into the community.

For the past 30 years, he's worked around Salisbury - paid and voluntarily.

He was a Sergeant for Salisbury Police, Chair of Salisbury Street Pastors, volunteer for Salisbury Police Cadets,  Safety Office for Salisbury BID and now works as the CCTV manager for the city.

Richard was one of the instigators in getting the vital CCTV system in Salisbury back up and running.

It was vital in police gathering evidence in the Salisbury spy poisoning case.

After receiving his award, Richard told Spire FM that this award was a massive surprise for him.
