The results include an unlucky defeat for Salisbury FC against some promotion rivals.

The Whites welcomed Weymouth to the Ray Mac yesterday (Saturday January 26th) with both teams hoping to cement their place in the Southern League Premier Division play-off spots.

Steve Claridge's side didn't start off too well, going down 2-0 in the first half.

Salisbury fought back and earned a penalty that was neatly slotted by Luke Hopper.

Weymouth pulled away again to make it 3-1, but within just five minutes after that goal Aaron Dawson got the Whites back into it.

Two goals on 79 and 81 minutes brought a tense ending for the 1,274 fans at the ground.

It was the visitors who came out on top though, getting the winner with 6 minutes left to play.

The result means Salisbury swap places with Weymouth in the league table, with the Whites sitting 4th.

They face a tough test on Tuesday night (January 29th), when table toppers Taunton Town visit the Ray Mac.

For Bemerton Heath Harlequins, it was a difficult day at the office in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

They went down 5-1 to Bournemouth Poppies away from home.

In Division One, Amesbury Town are back on top of the table.

That's thanks to a 4-2 win for the Blues over AFC Stoneham, and a draw for title rivals Hythe and Dibden:

For Downton, there was a 7 goal thriller against Totton and Eling away from home.

The Robins came out on top in that one:

Laverstock and Ford went down 2-0 to Whitchurch United in their game yesterday:

The green and whites took some Wiltshire bragging rights in their game this weekend, backing up their victory from last week too.

Salisbury won 17-10 against Swindon on the road.

That keeps them firmly mid table, in 8th place.
