The 28-year-old from Warminster died at the scene last night near Heytesbury (27th January).

At around 9pm yesterday, two cars collided head-on between Heytesbury and Crockerton.

It's not yet known why the white VW Touran and the blue Kia Picanto crashed.

Police closed the road for over 7 hours while an investigation was carried out.

The female driver of the Kia died at the scene.

The driver of the VW, a woman in her 40s from Hampshire, was taken to Salisbury District Hospital with what is believed to be minor injuries.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:

"Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.

"Anyone with information, including anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision or has dash-cam footage which could assist with our enquiries, should call 101 and ask to speak to PC John Armstrong from the Roads Policing Unit."
