Never mind love in the air, Lover is on the airwaves!

The Wiltshire village, which calls itself the most romantic in the county, will feature on Countryfile tonight (10th Feb) giving viewers the chance to find out about it's Valentine post service.

The village resurrected its post office in 2017 bringing back the special cachet stamp which of course spells lover.

LOVE ON THE AIRWAVES:

John Craven
Countryfile presenter John Craven got a cuddle with the village mascot, Stanley, during filming.

Nick Gibbs chairman of the Lover Community Trust told Spire FM it's a tremendous boost to appear on the show.

"The Countryfile team were both surprised and delighted at the way so many village residents had decorated their homes and gardens with celebratory hearts of all shapes and sizes. It really is quite a sight. Lover will bring a heartwarming feel to Countryfile’s Winter Special due to be aired on Feb 10th."

The film crew checked out the heart displays dotted around the community as well as learning more about the "village cupids" who help run the Valentine Post from The Old School.
