Disqualification and fines for Tidworth driver

Jonathan Lane was stopped after a member of the public witnessed a car crash into a parked vehicle in Salisbury.

The 32 year old from Lindley Close in Tidworth pleaded guilty to a number of driving offences.

He admitted taking a vehicle without consent, possession of a Class B drug, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The charges relate to an incident on Wessex Road in Salisbury on April 30th 2018.

He was arrested trying to flee the scene.

Lane has now appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court yesterday (Monday 11th February).

He's been disqualified from driving for 18 months, given a community order, and ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £285.
