Two fire engines from Salisbury worked on getting the male driver out of the silver Honda, alongside police.

A firefighter climbed in through the back of the car, released the handbrake so that the car could roll backwards to allow the driver out.

The silver Honda was then reversed slowly back through the subway and out onto the road.

The car has now been removed.
