Neil Turpin is hoping to raise a massive £16,500 to transform the local building.

Harnham Parish Hall is in need of modernising to include full accessibility throughout.

Locals are hoping to put in a new fully equipped kitchen, a modern Parish office and make it an environmentally friendly building.

The money Neil raises will go towards just that!

He's walking from Canterbury to Salisbury during Easter and hopes to raise £100 for every mile of the 165 he walks.

Neil said;

"I have never walked more than 23 miles on consecutive days before so it will be physically demanding.

"I am walking partly as a personal pilgrimage but also to raise money for the Parish Hall transformation project."

Starting on the 14th April, he'll be walking everyday until the 20th April between the two Cathedral cities.

On the last day, he's asking for people to join him in the final 26 miles from Winchester to Salisbury.
