Did you see the Tornado flypast this afternoon? (20 February) It could be the final time we see them in our skies.

The iconic jets are on a tour of the UK, flying over most RAF bases, to say a final farewell because they're being withdrawn from operational service after nearly 40 years.

This afternoon a trio of Tornados flew over MoD Boscombe Down as part of that.

Jeff Welch sent Spire FM some of the amazing photos he took of the flypast:

This is day two of the tour, and people have been taking to social media as they follow the aircraft around the UK.

The Tornado will be officially retired from service at the end of March and will only be used for training purposes over the UK in the intervening period.
