Wessex Water's warned us before about flushing wet wipes down the toilet, but it's still happening.

They've had to unblock another sewer in Amesbury because of them and they took to Twitter to show us the evidence:

We're told wet wipes should ALWAYS be binned instead of being thrown in the toiler, even when the wipes are branded 'flushable'.

The wipes don't break down in the same way as conventional toilet paper once they disappear from the bowl.

It's the same with sanitary products.

Wessex Water's advice is to only flush the three Ps:

The supplier's also reminding us that unblocking sewer pipes and repairing or replacing pumps is expensive, potentially adding to our water bills.

And that blockages can cause pollution in streams, rivers and beaches.

Wessex Water's made a video showing us the impacts of how the wipes can have a real impact on the system.
