The teenage girls are heading to Florida in April to compete in the 2019 ICU World Championships.

Jess Scott, Poppy McNeill, Tara Bray, Sophie Woodroffe and Immy Bray (pictured above) are all part of Old Sarum cheerleading club Phoenix Stars.

They've all been cheering for over four years locally, all living in the Salisbury area.

After trials with Team England, all five girls got into the 2019 squad.

Immy Bray, who goes to St Edmunds school, competed in the national team last year where the Junior team came 2nd!

This year, all five will be heading out to Florida in April to face the rest of the world.

However, as cheerleading isn't classified as a sport - the girls are receiving no funding for their trip, despite competing for their country.

This means they have to fund their flights, entry fees and stay whilst in the USA - which could cost up to £5,000.

They're looking for local support to get them out there and would love for the community to get behind them.

Sophie encourages people to get behind them.
