Taxi driver robbed in Wilton

The victim suffered an injury to his neck after being flagged down in the early hours of Saturday morning.

This happened at around 1.00am on March 16th, on St Andrews Close, close to the junction for Bulbridge Road.

A woman flagged down the car, and while the driver was being distracted by her, a man approached the taxi and assaulted him.

He demanded he handed over cash before the pair ran away towards Randall Croft Road.


Wiltshire Police have given us some details of the suspects thought to have been involved.

The woman is described as:

  • White
  • Mid to late 20s
  • Petite
  • Wearing brown/green cagoule

The man's described as:

  • White
  • Mid to late 20s
  • Around 6 feet tall
  • Wearing a padded jacket
  • Jeans
  • White trainers

Officers have been carrying out searches and their enquiries are ongoing.
