Man gropes 6 year old's bottom in Amesbury supermarket

A mum is warning other parents after an unknown man approached her child in Aldi.

The mother says her little boy was approached while they were shopping in the store on Monday (18th March) by a man.

She says he "then groped my 6 year old's bottom, stuck his tongue in his face and stuck his thumb up."

She says when she confronted the man "he tried to brush it off."

Within her post, the mum praised the staff at Aldi who stayed with the family until the male had left the store.

WILTSHIRE POLICE STATEMENT:

Officers have confirmed that the incident is being investigated.

They've said 'the boy was not injured, but his mother has been left understandably distressed by what happened'.

Police are now assessing CCTV from within the store and making multiple enquiries.

The man involved is described as:

  • Bald
  • Wearing a black zip-up hoodie
  • Black trousers
