Three musical acts have won a competition to earn a place on the line-up at the national event on Hudson's Field this June.

The winners have been chosen thanks to a public vote on the Salisbury Armed Forces Day Facebook page.

Wiltshire Council launched the contest with the aim of finding local acts to join the bill for the three day event (June 28th - 30th).

The 'Shine For Salisbury' results have also been announced to coincide with the 100 day countdown to the biggest event being held in the city this year.

There's 99 days to go until the Salisbury Armed Forces Day events

More details were released in a Facebook Live video:

WHO WILL BE PERFORMING AT SALISBURY NATIONAL ARMED FORCES DAY?

All of the acts that have been chosen to perform have military connections, with Wiltshire Council leader Jane Scott telling Spire FM that's important:

"We were looking for that specifically - because we want to keep that connection going the whole way through. It's going to be a fun weekend but it's also an important one for the military so that's lovely (that there are connections with the armed forces)."

Duck n Cuvver is made up of Ian Lawes, Robert Hardie & Andy Reynolds, who are all ex-military personnel:

The Treblemakers are a covers band from Salisbury and Amesbury - they play 'classic floor fillers from the 60s to today':

More than 90 local men and women are part of the Salisbury Rock Choir, singing all sorts of stuff from Motown, pop and so much more:

With 100 days to go, the main sponsors for the event has also been announced - with KBR Aspire Defence and Lovell signing up as platinum supporters.
