Man punched in the face during Salisbury assault

The victim was attacked in broad daylight, in a residential area of the city (picture from Google Street View).

A 43 year old man was targeted on the corner of Marlborough Road and Hamilton Road at around 6.00pm on Saturday evening (April 20th).

Wiltshire Police tell us he was approached by a man who wasn't known to him and was punched in the face.

He suffered a reddening to his eyes and some pain.


Police are now asking any witnesses to come forward, and have put out a description of someone thought to have been involved:

  • White male
  • Around 6 feet 2 inches tall
  • Muscly build
  • Short blonde hair
  • Wearing jeans

Officers did carry out a search of the area following the attack, but no offenders were located.

They've also been doing house to house enquiries but are calling on anyone who might have seen what happened to get in touch with them.
