The team are short on helpers for this year's event which raises vital funds to help beat cancer.

Could you help to raise money to fight cancer, by volunteering at Salisbury's Race for Life?

Organisers need more people to get involved as they only have 21 volunteers signed up to help so far - but need at least 35.

Men and women can volunteer for the event held at Hudson's Field on Sunday 9th June.

Money raised from those taking part in the 5k and 10k routes will help Cancer Research UK continue vital work into 200 types of cancers.

Could you help the runners cross the line?

There's a wide variety of fun and inspiring roles on offer like managing the information marquee, cheering on participants around the course and handing out well-deserved medals at the finish line.

Jutlla, a Race for Life Volunteer, said:

"Before she died, my wife Baldev and I always held CRUK close to our hearts.

"After many years as a volunteer, whether I'm setting up the course, handing out water bottles or supporting the runners, I can smile knowing that we will beat cancer, and that I will have played some part in helping make that moment possible."

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED TO COMMIT?

Organisers appreciate any time you can give and can find a role for all.

They said:

"Please let the event manager know how long you are able to be on site and we can make sure your role is flexible to your availability.

"We need volunteers to help set up and pack down so don't worry if you can't stay the whole day or make it for the start of the event."
