We've been waiting weeks but it looks like one of the eggs laid in a special nesting box at Salisbury Cathedral has hatched.

Four eggs have been laid in total this year, after a new pair of peregrine falcons took over the box.

We've been following the birds of prey thanks to a webcam set up to film their moves, and it was Gary Price, Clerk of the Works, who noticed the first egg was hatching and just minutes later it looks like it's hatched!

It follows a dramatic weekend when Sally - the falcon who used the nesting box previously - was involved in a tussle with the new residents.
