E-fit released after attempted armed robbery in Salisbury

A woman was threatened by a man wielding a knife in Harnham on Saturday evening (11th May).

The 37-year-old local woman was walking on the footpath between St George's Church, towards Netherhampton Road, around 11pm.

She was approached by a man holding a small knife who demanded that she hand over money.

Fortunately the victim was able to get away unharmed.

The suspect ran off towards Town Path empty handed.

The suspect is described is:

  • White
  • Approximately 5ft 8in
  • Slim build
  • Aged in his late teens to early 20s
  • Strawberry blonde hair
  • Wearing a faded/worn black hoodie which had a large front pocket

Detective Constable Matt Cable, from Salisbury Police, said:

"This was a serious and frightening incident for the witness and we'd like people to take five minutes to look at the e-fit and see if they recognise the suspect.

"We'd also like anyone who was in the area at the time and saw a man matching the description of the suspect to come forward. Equally if you have any dash cam footage or CCTV please contact us."
