MASSIVE headliner announced for Salisbury Armed Forces Day

Kaiser Chiefs will be in the city on Saturday 29th June for the national event.

Do you, do you, do you, do you - want to rock and roll in Salisbury?

The renowned indie rock band from Leeds will be headlining the stage on Hudson's Field on the Saturday of Salisbury's Armed Forces Day.

The group will take to the stage around 9.00pm.

I PREDICT A RIOT AT SALISBURY AFD

The band are fronted by Ricky Wilson, former judge of The Voice UK.

Famous for songs like Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less - they're certain to put on a good show.

Shine for Salisbury winners The Treblemakers will get the party started with The Upbeat Beatles before the renowned Leeds band take to the stage.

Jane Scott, leader of Wiltshire Council, said:

“It’s been hard to keep the secret but now we’re delighted to be telling everyone that our Saturday night headline act is Kaiser Chiefs.

It’s a fantastic line-up over the three nights with Kaiser Chiefs, The Feeling and Björn Again, we’re proud to be putting on three evenings of great live music with a really varied line-up that will appeal to everyone.”

THE EVENT

This map shows the layout of the 3 day Salisbury AFD event with the stage at the end of Hudson's Field by Stratford Road.

The sloping ground down to the stage should allow for more spectators to see the acts on the stage.

Military displays and the fairground will be based at the top of Hudson's Field close to Castle Road.

Tickets for the Saturday have now sold out following today's amazing announcement.

You can still get tickets for the Friday (28th June)  and Sunday (30th June) when the headliners will be The Feeling and Bjorn Again respectively.

Free tickets for those days are available online here.

Wiltshire Council say if you have tickets for the Saturday but now can't attend, please return your tickets so someone else can enjoy the event.

If you're unable to attend, call Ticket Sellers on 0121 472 6688 to cancel, and release your tickets to allow other people to attend
