Jason Sufi absconded in February and is the prime suspect in an incident involving a knife in Wiltshire.

The 39-year-old escaped from HMP Springhill Prison in Buckinghamshire on Wednesday 20th February, after he failed to return for an evening roll call.

Since then, he's been wanted in connection with burglaries in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, Kent, and Cambridgeshire.

He was also wanted in connection with the incident in Amesbury involving a knife.

There were appeals from a number of constabularies to find Sufi.

He was finally arrested in Islington on Wednesday (5th June) after being spotted by Met officers.

Sufi was charged with escape from lawful custody the following day.

He is next appearing at Southwark Crown Court on Friday, 5 July.
