Trapped horse rescued from horsebox in Wiltshire village

Specialist fire-fighters were called to help free the gelding who had got himself wedged over a partition.

The 16.2hh horse worked his way over the partition and ended up upside down in the tack area of the horsebox .

Hampshire's Animal Rescue Team were called to the scene in Wilsford near Pewsey around 3.30pm on Monday (10th June).

Wiltshire fire-fighters also attended and together they managed to safely get the horse, which was sedated by a local vet, out.

Once he'd recovered from the sedation the gelding stood unassisted with no serious injuries.

No harm done! The horse was soon up on his feet.
