Wiltshire couple to 'Wing Walk' to help vulnerable veterans

The pair, from Idmiston near Porton, will strap themselves to the top of a plane to raise funds for Alabare.

Cheryl Sullivan was volunteered by friends who were looking or someone to do a fundraising event for the charity.

Thinking it was making a cake or something similar Cheryl jumped at the opportunity, only to realise she'd be perched on top of a Boeing Stearman biplane!

Cheryl has embraced the challenge despite being "absolutely terrified of heights" and not "being great with flying either."

Husband Colin, who has served in the RAF, will also be taking part in the event at Rencomb Airfield in Cirencester on 30th July.

Having spent 30 years as a military wife Cheryl says she's only too happy to do her bit to help Alabare and the work they do to help veterans in need.

"It breaks my heart that we have homeless veterans out there with little support."

Cheryl has raised more than £400 so far but is looking for more support.
