Body of missing Wilton man found

The 60-year-old was reported missing on Saturday night (22nd June) and police issued a public appeal to find him.

A body was located in the woodland in the Yarnbrook area yesterday (23rd June).

It has now been formally identified as Michael Poulton from Wilton.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said:

"At this stage, this is being treated as a sudden, non-suspicious death and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.

"As Mr Poulton had been in contact with Wiltshire Police prior to his death, this matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).

"Our thoughts remain with Mr Poulton's family at this time who are being supported by specially trained officers."
