Man charged with murder over A303 incident

It follows a collision on Friday afternoon (June 21st), in which a 63 year old man died.

23 year old Tarkan Agca, from Crusader Way in Watford, is due to appear in court in Swindon this morning (Wednesday June 26th), charged with murder.

The collision happened at around 4.50pm on Friday, when a man was struck by a car on the eastbound side of the carriageway near Solstice Park.

He was airlifted to hospital but passed away the following morning.

The victim hasn't yet been formally identified.


Following the incident, Detective Supt Julie Mackay, who is leading the investigation, said:

"We would like to speak anyone who may have seen this collision on Friday.

"This is a very busy road and I believe there would have been a number of drivers and road users who would have seen this incident.

"Also, if you have any dash-cam footage of this please come forward."
