The charity's Recovery Centre has welcomed teams from other sites around the country for sports competitions.

The Tidworth centre normally hosts the Winter Games, but this is the first time they've been the location for the Summer version.

It's a chance for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans to get together, share their experiences, and take part in the activities.

Teams from Tedworth House compete in 'friendly' contests against their counterparts from the Catterick, Colchester, Plymouth and Welsh recovery centres, all run by Help for Heroes.

Competitors have also been taking part in archery, kayaking, raft building, quizzes and more.

The Summer Games are a way of giving those recovering from injury or illness a chance to try out new skills and possibly include sports in their rehabilitation into the future.

It also provides the personnel a chance to be part of a team again, which is something that's often missed when they come out of the military.
