Laverstock festival shut down due to excessive noise

The chairman of River Bourne Community Farm has apologised "to the whole of the local community for the excessive volume of the music at the T1 Fest".


Ben Parker has taken to social media to issue his apology.

He explains how yesterday's T1 Fest was not a farm event, but the responsibility was down to them.

So, when the sound levels were deemed to be excessive - due to the fact that they "were unable to control levels" - the decision was take to close down the event at 9:30pm.

In his apology, Ben said:

"I do hope you will accept my sincere apologies and please be assured that we will not allow this type of situation to be repeated."

The T1 Fest - which took place at the community farm in Laverstock - was meant to run till 11pm.

It was a day that had billed as having live music, crafts. entertainment, a dog show, adventure zone, T1 Teenage Hub.

It was supporting diabetes charities and aimed to raise diabetes awareness through music.
