Smoke has been seen coming across the carriageway on the A360.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue tell us that the blaze along the side of the road was reported just after 10.30am this morning (Monday August 5th).

They've explained that there were actually several little fires along the verge.

The fire service believe they were caused by part of a lorry's wheel breaking off and sparking in the dry land.

One crew from Salisbury was called to the scene.

They managed to put out all the little fires by 11.10am.
