Woman assaulted as she tries to help drunk teenager in Salisbury

Published by Faye Tryhorn at 10:00am 12th August 2019.

The Good Samaritan was attacked after checking on the welfare of a young person on the Guildhall steps.

The 24 year old victim stopped to offer help at around 12.30am on Sunday August 4th.

She was approached by two female teenagers who became abusive towards her.

As she walked away towards Butcher Row and the New Canal taxi rank, she was punched and pushed to the ground by the teens, who had followed her.

Luckily, the victim didn't suffer any serious injuries but she was left 'understandably distressed' according to police.

The woman suffered bruising to her forehead and the suspects walked away towards Minster Street.
