Two men arrested after investigation into Salisbury robbery

A female was allegedly targeted after leaving the city's train station on a July evening.

At the time we were told that the victim had fallen to the floor, hit her head and suffered multiple bruises and grazes, but she didn't need hospital treatment.

Her briefcase was reported to have been taken, which contained a purse with cash and bank cards in, a CD player, diary, pink pashmina, make-up and other items.

Two men, one aged 38 and the other 42, both from Salisbury have now been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

They were arrested after a joint investigation by PC Lou Poole, Salisbury CCTV and the Community Tasking Team.

The alleged incident occurred just before 9pm on Monday 22 July, when the female victim was walking from the Train Station into Dews Road.
