He's been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Hannah Milburn from Salisbury CID said:

"Our investigation in relation to this incident is ongoing at this stage and we would like to renew our appeal for any witnesses who may be able to assist us with any information - no matter how insignificant it may seem."

If you can help with any further information about the incident, you're asked to call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 54190047812.

You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The arrest happened while Salisbury Police were being shadowed by the city's MP, John Glen.

He spent a day with officers this week to learn more about their role and the struggles they're facing on the frontline.
