A section of road had to be resurfaced after a crash involving two lorries.

The accident happened near Solstice Park just after 3pm on Tuesday afternoon (10th Sept).

The crash resulted in a fuel spillage on the westbound section and officials had to close it because it was 'too slippery and dangerous' for traffic to use.

A 200 metre section of the road had to be resurfaced last night and the road was reopened around 4am this morning (Thursday 12th).

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE DRIVERS INVOLVED?

The male driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Salisbury District Hospital by land ambulance.

The air ambulance was also called to the scene, but wasn't needed.

There is no update on his condition at this stage.

The other driver wasn't hurt.
