Biker dies in Collingbourne Ducis crash

The collision on the A338 involved a van and motorbike.

A biker has died after colliding with a van on the A338 near Collingbourne Ducis.

A yellow Triumph motorbike and a white Peugeot van caught fire as a result of the collision which happened just after 6.30pm yesterday (Fri 20th Sept).

Fire crews from Pewsey and Marlborough managed to put out the fire and police closed the road for seven hours.  The road has since re-opened.

Both the biker and the driver of the van were treated by South West Ambulance Service. 

Sadly the biker, a local man, died at the scene.
