Man robbed at knifepoint in Salisbury underpass

The victim was approached by a group of men near the city's Waitrose supermarket.

A man, in his 30s, was walking along an underpass near to the Waitrose store. (Wednesday October 9th).

Four men came up to him and tried to grab his satchel.

He had his hand scratched by knife being carried by one of the men.

The group managed to get the bag, which contained an iPad and a vape, and left the scene.


One of the men involved is said to be: 

  • Aged in his 30s
  • Large build
  • Short brown hair
  • Wearing a grey hoodie
  • Beanie hat

Another is described as: 

  • Aged approximately 16 years old
  • White
  • Skinny build
  • Around 5 feet 6 inches tall
  • Wearing a beanie hat
  • Kappa trousers

Detective Constable Mike Boshier said: 

"We are conducting enquiries in relation to this incident which would have no doubt been frightening for the victim - fortunately he wasn't seriously injured but did suffer cuts to his hand. 

"We need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or anyone who was in the area around 7.30pm who may have seen the suspects - you could have significant information which could help with our enquiries."
