Animal welfare warrant in Salisbury sees drugs seized instead

Officers from Wiltshire Police and the RSPCA executed a planned warrant.

The raid took place in Wessex Road in Salisbury as there were concerns for the health of a number of animals.

They were located within the address and were subsequently checked over by a vet, but none of them were removed from the property.

Advice and guidance was given to the owners.

But during the raid, a small quantity of cannabis was found inside the house.

The tenant has now been invited to interview by the police to account for this.

If you have any concerns about the welfare of an animal please contact the RSPCA.
