Police were called to The Ridge in the village at around 9.10pm last night.

A number of police units responded to Wednesday's incident (October 16th), which saw a ball bearing fired at a car causing the rear window to shatter.

A 21 year old man in the car suffered an injury to his forehead - an ambulance was also called to the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Wiltshire Police say the suspects left in a Ford Focus.

Investigations are currently ongoing including further house to house enquiries and officers are looking to get hold of any CCTV.

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190103253.

The village is less than 2 miles from Downton which has seen several incidents involving a catapult in recent weeks.

It's not yet known if they are linked.

Police have said it 'may form part of their enquiries'.
